Message from your President - Gabrielle Gimblett

Welcome everyone to a busy month of July. A month of decisions and progress for the year ahead.

A dinner meeting and 2 breakfast sessions. A time when our members were able to "Have their say".

It was very rewarding to have such a good response from those who joined us and I am proud of you all for your

input to Club affairs.

Our survey has been summarized and the results will soon be sent to all members.

The strongest themes across all feedback were:

Maintain strong face-to-face meetings and fellowship opportunities.
Increase member participation and ownership of projects.
Improve public visibility, marketing, and social media presence.
Attract younger and more diverse members while improving retention.
Focus on meaningful local projects that engage the widest range of members.
Strengthen communication both within the club and with the wider community.
Challenges of succession planning for future Officers of the Club. Refresh versus recycle.
Too much reliance on key Individuals who drive our main Fundraising activities being Christmas Puddings and Annual Golf Day and particularly the latter.

At our Board meeting on 21st July, it was agreed to support the Rotary Interplast programme across NZ & the South Pacific for $2,000.00.

For the Annual Golf Tournament in March 2027 we will support the Dove Hospice and The Steve Farrelly Foundation Trust which is based in Glen Innes. Many thanks to David Hartstone for his proposal to include them, a very worthwhile Foundation to be connected to.

I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday 6th August when our RYLA candidates will be speaking about their experiences they will remember for many a year!
